Small Gasoline Engines - A one semester, one hour per day course
giving 1/2 unit of credit. Topics in this course include: Shop Safety, Engine
Basics, Lubrication, Automotive Hand Tools, Engine Overhaul, Precision
Measurement, Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, Engine Maintenance,
Engine Diagnosis, and Careers. The main part of the semester will be spent
overhauling a small gasoline engine. This book includes hundreds of full
color illustrations and step by step procedures.

Introduction to Industrial Arts - A one semester, one hour per day
course giving 1/2 unit of credit. Topics studied in this course include basic
drafting, woodworking, plastics, and drafting and woodworking careers.
Drafting topics include: Basics of Drafting, Geometric Constructions, Views
of Objects, and Dimensioning. Plastics and Woodworking topics include:
Building a Project, Tool Identification, and Machine Usage and Safety. Five
weeks will be spent with drafting while the rest of the semester is dedicated
to building one plastic project and two woodworking projects. Specialty
drafting equipment needed can be purchased for under $20.00. The only
power tools needed for this course are an electric hand drill and hand-held
jig saw. This book includes hundreds of full color illustrations and step by
step procedures.
